First Do No Harm: A Patient-Driven Approach to Navigating the Health Law, Intellectual Property, and Technology Maze

  • Two of the fastest growing areas in the modern economy are health care and technology. In the race to provide innovations in both sectors, the patient and caregiver are often left out of the conversation. Consequently, some technologies, intellectual property rules, health care options, and health policy decisions are replete with unintended consequences. The 2019 Symposium afforded academics, practitioners, health care providers, and students a meaningful forum to exchange ideas and explore emerging issues relevant to these topics.
