The 2017 symposium provided a forum to discuss then-recent changes to the global economy, including workforce transformations, entrepreneurship, artificial intelligence, regulation, privacy, and security concerns brought on by the developments in technology, as well as the legal regimes that govern these sectors. Topics ranged from international economic innovation, economics of entrepreneurial development, patents and intellectual property as innovation catalysts and barriers and technology, ethics and professional responsibilities for the creators of the innovation economy.
